APA has redesigned its World Wide Web home page to be more enticing. The new page boasts color pictures that accompany information on upcoming association events and activities, as well as excerpts of stories in the latest issue of the Monitor. The page, which will be updated weekly, also includes a 'drop-box,' or index, to the web site’s data.

Members and the general public can access information on APA’s 1998 Annual Convention, to be held Aug. 14–18 in San Francisco. The convention page includes details on registration and accommodations, continuing-education workshops, special events and advanced research training seminars. Also provided is a street map of downtown San Francisco along with such information as the Bay-area climate and local transportation.

This new resource provides a variety of information on state licensure for psychologists and other mental health professionals. Visitors can find addresses and phone numbers for state licensing boards, licensure preparation material, and rules and regulations for each state board.
