The Science and Ecology of Early Development (SEED) 2000 Initiative, a new collaborative effort among government agencies, has issued a call for research grant applications to draw on current and theoretical and methodological advances in behavioral research, specifically those addressing children and public policy issues. The University of Kent at Canterbury in the United Kingdom and the University of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium have collaborated with the Fredrich-Schiller University of Jena in Germany to establish the European Graduate College to run the program "Conflict and cooperation between groups: Perspectives from social and developmental psychology."
