Div. 9 (Society for the Psychological Study of Social IssuesSPSSI)
SPSSI is accepting applications for its Clara Mayo Grants for graduate students in psychology, applied social science and related disciplines seeking support for their master's thesis or pre-dissertation research. Four grants, up to $1,000, will be awarded for research on aspects of sexism, racism or prejudice, with preference given to students enrolled in a terminal master's program. Five copies of the application must be postmarked by March 31.

Div. 32 (Humanistic)
Div. 32 has issued a call for papers for the Sidney M. Jourard Student Award Symposium at APA's 2001 Annual Convention in San Francisco, Aug. 2428. Students can submit a 500- to 1,000-word proposal summary or abstract. As long as a paper has not been presented previously, work already completed will be accepted. Students can also submit work in the developmental stage that will be completed in the 2001 spring semester. The deadline for submission is Dec. 15; students will be notified of the review committee's decisions by Jan. 15.
