Print version: page 69

APA will sponsor two hands-on seminars for undergraduate students in 2004.

* The Summer Science Institute is a nine-day training session to be held at Vanderbilt University, June 19-27. The institute will include hands-on experience in psychology research, as well as discussions on careers in psychology. The institute is open to college freshman and sophomores. Students may apply online at www.apa.org/science/ssi.html.

* The Statistical Training in Psychology Seminar is a nine-day, advanced seminar in statistics and research methods for college seniors who plan to pursue an advanced degree in psychological science. The institute--to be held at the University of Maryland, College Park, July 10-18--will target students from traditionally underrepresented groups in psychology, such as members of ethnic-minority groups and first-generation college students.
