PsycCAREERS.com (www.apa.org/students) This page houses the APA's Career Resource Center. Using it, you can plug your résumé into a database for registered employers, learn about career opportunities and search online job classifieds. Registration is quick and free. Other helpful web sites Spirit (www.airesources.net/spirit) This site, billed as a computer-based research development colleague, helps researchers navigate the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism grant application process. The site offers software programs that guide researchers through the grant application kit and budget-planning. It also provides an online research mentoring program to help applicants hone their research design skills and avoid common errors. Cancer researchers can find similar grant application aid at www.magicc.net. Psychological Assessment Online (www.psychassess.bizland.com) This resource provides comprehensive information on the ethics and methodologies of psychological testing, as well as listings of psychological test publishers. A password-protected section for professionals also offers interpretive guidelines for clinical interviewing, detection of malingering and deception, and forensic assessment and measures of personality. Online Psychology Article Listing (psych-www.colorado.edu:591/opal) This site provides a searchable database of scholarly empirical and review articles that have been published in their entirety on the web but have not been printed in journals. Some articles have appeared in online journals, others are from conference presentations or involve null or alternative research.
