Monitor on Psychology
Volume 33, No. 2 February 2002

Corrections

Richard Shiffrin, PhD, is the recipient of the David E. Rumelhart Award, not Robert Shiffrin as reported in the January issue, page 56.

A caption on page 78 of the December Monitor incorrectly noted that the people in the photo were Delancy Street residents who were previously convicted felons, drug addicts and others. This is not true. We sincerely regret the error.

Also in the December issue on page 96, the American Psychological Foundation staff would like to note two corrections in the information on the 2001 Rebecca Routh Coon Research Award (Society for Pediatric Psychology Student Research Award), Christine T. Chambers, PhD. She completed a predoctoral internship in pediatric psychology at the Brown University School of Medicine and is now an assistant professor in the department of pediatrics at the University of British Columbia.

On page 43 of the September Monitor, statistics on the percentage of reported HIV cases in 1999 by gender were incorrect. The correct statistics are:

13- to 19-year-olds......63% female........37% male
20- to 24-year-olds......44% female........56% male
