Taking home the gold

Former APA President Robert J. Resnick, PhD, along with eight teammates, won a gold medal for his basketball skill in the 60- to 65-year-old age bracket during the 15th Annual Huntsman World Senior Games.

Held Oct. 8-20 in St. George, Utah, the games--which range from bridge to mountain biking--were attended by 6,000 athletes from 45 countries. Resnick was recruited to a New York basketball team and played against several former NBA players. Although the emphasis of the games is health, peace and friendship, Resnick says they are very competitive.

Resnick, who's been on the court since age 10, says "the competition was the toughest basketball I have played in years." He promises to play again in next year's competition.
