Apply for a Department of Defense research fellowship Research psychologists or senior graduate students with expertise in counterintelligence research have until March 1 to apply for two new APA-sponsored research fellowships in the Department of Defense's Counterintelligence Field Activity Office. The fellowships run from June 1 to Aug. 1. Research psychologists receive a fellowship of $12,000; graduate students receive a fellowship stipend of $8,000. The eight-week program is part of a collaborative effort between APA and the federal government to promote behavioral research within the federal government and train psychological scientists in national security-related research and policy. To apply, submit the following: A curriculum vitae, including educational background, professional employment and activities, professional publications, public policy and legislative experience, and committee and advisory group appointments. A 1,000-word statement addressing the applicant's interests in the counterintelligence fellowship, career goals, contributions the applicant can make as a psychologist or graduate student, and what the applicant wants to learn from the experience. Three letters of reference specifically addressing the applicant's ability to work as a Department of Defense research fellow.
