Print version: page 13

Patrick H. DeLeon, PhD, JD, will receive the 2006 Raymond D. Fowler Award for Outstanding Member Contributions to APA at APA's 2006 Annual Convention in New Orleans, Aug. 10–13. DeLeon won the award for his many contributions to psychology, which have advanced APA's mission. By leading the charge for prescriptive privileges for psychology, he expanded the scope of practice of professional psychology. As one nomination letter states, "He has consistently advocated for the advancement of the science, education, public intent, and practice of psychology and psychologists."
