Div. 1 (Society for General Psychology)
Div. 1 seeks nominations for its 2002 awards, which include the William James Book Award for a recent book that integrates material across psychology subfields. Other awards are the Arthur W. Staats Lecture for Unifying Psychology, Ernest R. Hilgard Award for a Career Contribution to General Psychology and the George A. Miller Award for an Outstanding Recent Article in General Psychology. Div. 2 (Society for the Teaching of Psychology)
Div. 2 is now accepting proposals for five $1,500 Instructional Resource Awards to develop instructional resources for psychology courses. Two awards will be given to proposals that reflect the theme, "Building partnerships: alliances and collaborations."

Div. 9 (Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues)
To diversify membership and increase networking opportunities, Div. 9's Student Committee has developed a student network, where students from other psychological organizations can exchange information about legislation and policy, research or different disciplines. Div. 12 (Society of Clinical Psychology)
Div. 12 will answer the U.S. Surgeon General's call for public schools to play a role in children's mental health by forming a new interest group to focus on clinical psychology in schools. The group's work will be to promote and enhance the provision of clinical psychology in schools. Div. 45 (Society for the Psychological Study of Ethnic Minority Issues)
Div. 45 invites members to participate in Psych Web, a site featuring mater-ial for students and professionals about general psychology, a database of journals, links to articles about psychology and related fields, university psychology departments worldwide, and APA style guides and tutorials. Div. 49 (Group Psychology and Group Psychotherapy)
Div. 49 encourages members to submit papers to the Journal for Specialists in Group for a special issue on "Teaching Group Work," to be published in March 2004. Papers should focus on one of three topics: resolving issues involved in teaching group work, how to teach generic work competencies or how to teach specialized group work competencies. Div. 54 (Society of Pediatric Psychology)

Div. 54 announced that Ronald Brown, PhD, will succeed Anne Kazak, PhD, as editor of the division's Journal of Pediatric Psychology. Brown, former president of Div. 54, began his term as editor this month. His first published issue will be released in February 2003.
