For the next several months, the Monitor will feature psychology's leaders whose vision, time and financial support have made APF a major philanthropic organization for psychology.

Donald K. Freedheim, PhD

"APF preserves the past by honoring outstanding contributors to the field and contributes to the future of psychology by supporting imaginative research programs. Through APF, we can ensure that our funds will be used to enhance the field far into the future--a crucial legacy that no other organization can duplicate."

Freedheim is professor emeritus of psychology at Case Western Reserve University and founding director of the school's Schubert Center for Child Development. He is a former president of APA Div. 29 (Psychotherapy).
