Asher R. Pacht, PhD

"As an active psychologist for almost 55 years, I have had the opportunity to participate both in education and practice areas. Psychology has been good to me and allowed me to be involved in policy-making and organizational activities. In my judgment, an ideal way to pay back the discipline for all that I have received is to contribute to the APF. I can think of no group that is more deserving than the APF—a group that serves the field of psychology in myriad ways every day and will continue to do so in the future."

—Asher R. Pacht, PhD, executive officer of the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards Foundation, has had a significant impact on the quality of psychological services provided to the public through his research and treatment of sex offenders, his work to develop training standards and models for treating mentally ill correctional clients, and his commitment to regulating and licensing psychologists with an emphasis on public protection.
