APA presidential candidates state their priorities

To provide members with more information on the candidates for APA's 2003 president, the Election Committee has asked each of them to answer six questions. Answers to the first two questions appeared in the June Monitor. Answers to the second set of questions appear below. The last two answers will appear in the September issue.

Ballots for the presidential election will be mailed to APA members on Oct. 15. The election closes on Nov. 29.

This month's questions:

* What have you done and what would you do as president to demonstrate your support for scientific psychology?

* What professional issues, e.g. managed care, prescription privileges, master's training, internship requirements, will you emphasize during your term?
