Close out APA's Annual Convention with a laugh. Chicago's Second City comedy troupe will help conclude the convention by entertaining guests with jokes tailored just for psychologists and performances of several of the troupe's best-ever skits. In its 42-year history, the comedy troupe has helped launch careers of several well-known comedians, writers and actors, including many "Saturday Night Live" cast members.
Festivities begin at 2 p.m., Aug. 25, at McCormick Place's South Building, Level 1 in the Grand Ball Room, and a reception will immediately follow the session.
Also at the Closing Session, get a glimpse of APA's 2003 Convention in Toronto. William T. Melnyk, PhD, president of the Canadian Psychological Association, will present a slide show on Toronto to preview what attendees can expect at next summer's convention. Robert J. Sternberg, PhD, APA's president for 2003, will co-chair the closing session with current President Philip G. Zimbardo, PhD.
