Continuing through the September issue, the five candidates for APA's 2007 president are answering two questions in each issue of the Monitor. APA will mail the ballots to members on Oct. 14, and the election will close on Nov. 28. For biographical information on each candidate and the candidates' election statements, see the May Monitor.

What is the greatest single challenge facing the practice of psychology?

In the past, psychology has had little influence on K–12 education. How can psychology (in all of its applications) be brought to bear to improve how children are educated?
