APA's 2005 Annual Convention will continue a unique programming configuration introduced at the 2002 convention: sessions that tackle issues spanning the interests of many APA divisions. The cross-cutting sessions were planned by three or more divisions that voluntarily proposed innovative programming that combines their expertise.

The APA Board of Convention Affairs Central Programming Working Group selected the sessions based on the following criteria:

• Originality and use of creative presentation formats.

• Level of collaboration among the divisions involved.

• Relevance of the proposed programming to division members.

• Relevance of the proposed programming to all APA members.

• Overall quality of the proposed programming.

The cross-cutting programs are scheduled on Friday, Aug. 19, 10 a.m. to 1:50 p.m., and on Saturday, Aug. 20, 3 p.m. to 4:50 p.m., in the Washington Convention Center.

The APA Board of Convention Affairs is the primary sponsor of each session. The divisions listed below submitted the sessions and serve as co-sponsors. The sessions are:
