IN BRIEF Earn CE credits at health-care conferences Print version: page 14 The National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) will hold its national conference Oct. 13-17, in Nashville. The national conference attracts psychologists and other professionals working to improve the quality of care provided in the nation's prison and juvenile detention and confinement facilities. APA supports NCCHC and allows the organization to offer continuing education (CE) for psychologists. Those attending the conference can earn up to 32 hours of credit. Psychologists can also sharpen their correctional-care skills at the NCCHC's Annual Correctional Mental Health Seminar July 15-16, in Las Vegas. This intensive seminar offers interactive sessions to help correctional healthprofessionals provide adequate care to growing numbers of incarcerated patients with mental disorders and substance abuse problems. Visit www.ncchc.org/education/index.html for additional details and registration materials for these two meetings.
