The new Web site for the Archives of the History of American Psychol- ogy--the largest collection of psychology materials in the world--offers a searchable database of the archives' manuscripts, books, photographs, instruments, tests, films and other materials. Visitors to the site can find information on visiting the archives, getting research assistance, donating materials to the archives and using archival materials. The site also lists upcoming conferences and events sponsored by the archives.

Heart Center Online (www.heartcenteronline.com)

Need the latest information on cardiovascular disease to help a patient who had a heart attack or a stroke? Visitors to Heart Center Online will find more than 300 news and feature articles on cardiovascular health that are geared toward patients and their families. Articles are written by clinical psychologist Deborah Brown, PhD, and edited by a board of 20 cardiologists. Topics include the effects of stress and depression on the body, genetic screening and the importance of a strong social support network during recovery from a heart attack or stroke. Visitors will also find discussion boards, patients' stories, information on nutrition and exercise, and a glossary that demystifies hundreds of cardiology terms.

National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) (www.drugabuse.gov)

NIDA has redesigned its Web site to be more user friendly. The institute has collected research reports, news and features of interest to researchers and health professionals, parents, teachers, and students, and organized the information under those headings. Other highlights include a new "Help" section, an updated site map to enable visitors to find information more easily, and an animated movie that summarizes NIDA's mission.

PhinisheD (www.phinished.org)

Graduate students who are working on their dissertations or theses will find reference materials, online data sources and a discussion board for those who are having trouble finishing their dissertations at this site. PhinisheD provides a list of books on writing a dissertation or thesis, links to style and writing guides, and articles on career strategies such as how to develop a teaching portfolio and how to interview at a small college.
