Six honored in Pennsylvania

Six psychologists were honored by the Greater Pittsburgh Psychological Association (GPPA) with the Fourth Annual Legacy Award, honoring exceptional service in areas of research, academic, clinical and community involvement. The winners are:

* Nancy Elman, PhD, a counseling psychologist, honored for her role in clinical training in the counseling psychology doctoral program at the University of Pittsburgh.

* Pamela Gonzalez, PhD, a psychodynamic psychologist, for her years of unflagging dedication and service to GPPA.

* Anthony Mannarino, PhD, a clinical psychologist, for his development of cutting-edge treatments for traumatized children and their families.

* Robert Perloff, PhD, for his wide-ranging contributions over the years to psychology.

* Stewart Sadowsky, PhD, for work that established guidelines for custody evaluations based on APA ethics and Pennsylvania law.

* Stephen Schachner, PhD, for his work on child-custody evaluations.
