Division spotlight

Div. 12 (Society of Clinical Psychology)

Div. 12 invites graduate students to submit papers for the Student Forum section of the division's newsletter, The Clinical Psychologist. This section has two goals:

* To provide a place for students to express their opinions about issues related to graduate studies and to psychology in general.

* To feature sound research and theories by graduate students about any topic related to clinical psychology.

The division is accepting submission in both areas. Please see the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (4th ed.) for guidelines. For more information, contact: David B. Feldman, Student Forum editor, Department of Psychology, Fraser Hall, University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS 66045; e-mail: davef200@aol.com.

Div. 21 (Applied Experimental and Engineering)

Div. 21 welcomes student members who have recently joined the division:

* Wai-Tat Fu, who is a graduate student at George Mason University.

* Lorrenz I. Torrez, who has a BA from Adams State College and is currently a research assistant in the team performance laboratory at the University of Central Florida.

* Wendi L. Buff, who received her BA in psychology from the University of Central Florida, where she is enrolled in a doctoral program in experimental/human factors psychology.

Div. 22 (Rehabilitation)

Div. 22 announces new initiatives to keep members and students abreast of breaking news and updates. Through the development of a listserv and the distribution of the Div. 22 newsletter on diskette, information will be more accessible. Subscribers will have access to articles concerning the broad range of factors that affect the lives of persons with disabilities or chronic illnesses. The division created the diskette version to accommodate blind and vision-impaired members.

To subscribe to the listserv, e-mail your request to: listserver@lists.acs.ohio-state.edu. To receive newsletters on diskette, contact Rochelle Balter, PhD, at (212) 744-1887.

Div. 48 (Society for the Study of Peace, Conflict and Violence)

Div. 48 welcomes all APA members to attend the APA Annual Convention symposium "APA presidents address values for APA's second hundred years." The symposium, co-chaired by Divs. 13 (Consulting) and 45 (Ethnic-Minority Affairs) and jointly sponsored by 26 other divisions, will feature past APA presidents who will address the future of APA and psychology.
