APA President Norine G. Johnson's miniconvention focuses on ways psychologists can expand their outreach worldwide.
The 2001 Presidential Miniconvention, "Psychology Builds a Healthy World: New Markets, New Research," features three days of programming that give scientists and practitioners
insights on emerging opportunities they can tap into using their unique education and training.
Each day of the miniconvention will have a theme: "Healthy families" on Saturday, Aug. 25; "Healthy communities" on Sunday, Aug. 26; and "Healthy workplaces" on Monday, Aug. 27.
For the first time, APA is offering continuing-education credits for the presidential miniconvention sessions. The continuing-education credits are free and no preregistration is required. (Attendance is limited to the first 350 people on a first-come first-served basis.)
