APA presidential elections

Five candidates run for APA president

APA members have nominated five members for 2003 APA president. The candidates and the number of nominating votes they received are:

Robert J. Sternberg, PhD
312 votes

Stanley Moldawsky, PhD
197 votes

Kathleen M. McNamara, PhD
76 votes

James H. Bray, PhD
17 votes

Stephen A. Ragusea, PsyD
7 votes

APA mailed the presidential nomination ballots to all APA voting members on Feb 1. The nominations closed on March 19. The ballots were tabulated by Intelliscan, Inc. and presented to APA's Election Committee for certification.

The ballots will be sent to APA members on Oct. 15. The election will close on Nov. 29.

Look for more information about the candidates in the June, July/August and September issues of the Monitor. In each issue, the candidates will answer questions on issues of top concern to APA members.
