In Brief

On Saturday, May 18, undergraduate researchers will gather at Stanford University for its second annual undergraduate research conference.

Sponsored by the Stanford chapter of Psi Chi, the conference provides an opportunity for students to present their own research.

More than 70 undergraduate researchers are expected to attend, in addition to nearly 150 spectators, including Stanford professors and graduate students.

A keynote address will be given by APA past-president Albert Bandura, PhD, the David Starr Jordan Professor of Social Sciences at Stanford University, who is renowned for his social learning theory and his social cognitive theory of human functioning.

Conference proceeds will be donated to the psychology department at South San Francisco High School to provide textbooks and audio-visual materials for underprivileged students studying psychology.
