The Web sites below provide support, information and encouragement to people with disabilities who are parents or considering parenthood:

* Parents with Disabilities Online. Billing itself as "the Internet's one-stop resource for parents with disabilities," this site says the best source of knowledge on parenting with a disability is disabled parents themselves. www.disabledparents.net

* Project Star Parents with Disabilities Program. The program provides information, referral and advocacy services for people with disabilities in Pennsylvania considering pregnancy or adoption; disabled parents with children of all ages; family and friends of parents with disabilities; and community organizations, social services agencies and health-care providers who want to ensure that their services are responsive, welcoming and inclusive of disabled parents. trfn.clpgh.org/star

* Disability Resources on the Internet. This comprehensive guide from Disability Resources Monthly includes a link on Parents with Disabilities. www.disabilityresources.org

* Through the Looking Glass (TLG). This nationally recognized nonprofit organization does pioneering research, offers training and provides services for people with disabilities, including parents (see main article). www.lookingglass.org
