State Leadership Conference attendees visited their congressional representatives to urge support of mental health parity and other priority legislation for psychology.

  • Washington State Psychological Association (WSPA) members thank Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) for her long-standing support on the Senate Health Committee.

  • Vermont Psychological Association (VPA) members thank Sen. Jim Jeffords (I-Vt.) for supporting legislation that became the Mentally Ill Offender Treatment & Crime Reduction Act of 2004. At the meeting, Jeffords agreed to push its funding this year.

  • Freshman Sen. John Thune (R-S.D) reviews APA Practice Organization fact sheets in a meeting with South Dakota Psychological Association (SDPA) members, SDPA Executive Director Dr. Margaret Sumption and SDPA Federal Advocacy Coordinator Dr. Scott Pribyl.

  • Wyoming Psychological Association (WPA) members urge Sen. Craig Thomas (R-Wyo.) to continue his co-sponsorship of parity legislation.
