Candidates for APA President
APA members have nominated five psychologists to run for APA's presidency. The successful candidate will serve as 2007 president-elect, 2008 president and 2009 past-president.
The presidential candidates and the number of nominating votes they received are:

APA mailed the presidential nomination ballots to all APA voting members on Feb. 1. The nominations closed on March 20. The ballots were tabulated by Intelliscan Inc. and certified by APA's Election Committee. All APA Members are eligible to be nominated for president-elect and invited to submit a statement. As was noted on the Candidates Statement Sheet that was sent with the nominations ballot for president-elect in February, one of the nominees submitted a statement, which was sent with the ballot.

Election ballots will be sent to APA members on Oct. 13, and the election will close on Nov. 27.
