Students: Get ready for APA’s 2007 Annual Convention
Print version: page 80

Monitor the APAGS (American Psychological Association of Graduate Students) Web site, www.apa.org/apags, for updates on programming and registration for APA’s 2007 Annual Convention, Aug. 17–20 in San Francisco. It’s not too early to start making plans to attend.

APAGS developed another slate of excellent programs and social activities for students attending convention. Programs cover such topics as grant writing, surviving the dissertation process, diversity, disability issues in psychology, mentoring and international opportunities for psychologists. In addition to regular APAGS programming, many symposia, workshops and meetings will take place in the APAGS Suite. More information is available at www.apa.org/apags.

Students looking to maximize their networking opportunities can also sign up to be an ambassador for APAGS. Ambassadors provide information on convention events, distribute APAGS promotional items and monitor APAGS programs by taking head counts and collecting participant evaluations. For details visit www.apa.org/apags or contact Heather Dade at e-mail.
