Journal seeks papers on electronic archiving, archival submissions
The Psychonomic Society is soliciting papers for a special issue of its journal Behavior Research Methods, Instruments & Computers titled "Electronic Archiving: Norms, Stimuli and Data." The special issue is slated for August 2004 to coordinate with the launch of a new online resource on the society's Web site--an archive of experimental psychology research materials.
The journal seeks a broad array of article submissions that discuss the challenges associated with data archiving or that accompany files for the archival Web site.
Such materials may include:
* Visual and auditory stimuli for use by other researchers, as well as norms based on those stimuli.
* Research databases or data archives for model-testing and evaluation.
* Technical supplements that may help other researchers with their data analyses or equipment calibration.
* Program source codes for statistical analysis, stimulus generation and similar applications.
* Tabular or graphic information that is too extensive for paper publication.
For more submission information, visit www.psychonomic.org/BRMIC. Direct submissions and related questions to the journal's editor, Jonathan Vaughan, PhD, at brmic@hamilton.edu. The submission deadline is Jan. 1.
