APA Congressional Fellows celebrate their service
Print version: page 24

Current and former APA Congressional Fellows gathered to reminisce about their experiences on Capitol Hill at a convention reception to celebrate the program's 30th anniversary. Drs. Gary VandenBos and Patrick H. DeLeon, founders of the APA Congressional Fellowship Program, welcomed the attendees, along with program directors Dr. Ellen Garrison and Annie Toro. Since 1974, 91 psychologists have worked as APA Congressional Fellows for a one-year period as a special legislative assistant on the staff of a member of Congress or congressional committee. The four psychologists selected for the 2005–2006 class are just beginning their fellowship year.
