Divisions team up for relationship violence conference

Div. 35 (Society for the Psychology of Women) and Div. 56 (Trauma), along with the Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma at Alliant International University, are sponsoring the "Summit on Abuse and Violence in Relationships: Connecting Agendas and Forging New Directions" on Feb. 28–29 in Bethesda, Md. The summit is one of the initiatives of incoming APA President Alan Kazdin, PhD.

Topics to be covered include intimate partner violence, child maltreatment, children exposed to violence and abuse, elder abuse, gender-based issues, cultural issues, substance abuse and other related themes.
