Grossman donates $10K to honor APA's Practice Directorate
Print version: page 67

Chicago-based independent practitioner Lisa Grossman, PhD, JD, has made a $10,000 pledge to APF in honor of the APA Practice Directorate and its executive director, Russ Newman, PhD, JD.

Grossman's gift will support APF's visionary funds, which enable the foundation to use psychology's resources to improve the lives of individuals, organizations, communities and society.

"I believe that the future of psychology is in our hands and that we each have an obligation to support this future through APF," she says.

Grossman is past president of the Illinois Psychological Association and a member-at-large of APA's Board of Directors. She is a fellow in numerous APA divisions and a past chair of APA's Board of Professional Affairs and Committee for Professional Practice and Standards.

With degrees in both law and psychology, Grossman has been instrumental in practice guideline development as well as pro bono consultations in psychological-legal issues.
