Edith H. Grotberg, PhD

Edith H. Grotberg, PhD, a frequent contributor to APF, is former director of research for the Administration of Children, Youth, and Families, of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Well known for her research on resilience, she currently lectures at the George Washington University School of Public Health.

“There is no other organization I know that combines psychology, new thinking, and at the same time fills gaps in research that can be filled with minimal support. As a reader of submitted papers, I have been impressed with the importance of these small, but critical studies. One that stands out is the ability to take portions of dissemination study to apply as needed, rather than using the entire same procedure. Such knowledge is narrow, but has wide implications. APF is unique and necessary!”
