Nominate an outstanding teacher

Div. 2 (Society for the Teaching of Psychology) welcomes nominations for its 2008 Excellence in Teaching Awards, to be presented at the APA convention. For more information, visit www.teachpsych.org. The nomination deadline is Jan. 18.

In other division news, the sixth volume of “Essays from Excellence in Teaching,” edited by Bryan K. Saville, PhD, Tracy Zinn, PhD, Steven A. Meyers, PhD, and Jeffrey R. Stowell, PhD, is available on the division’s Web site at www.teachpsych.org. The book includes 12 essays, including those on team teaching, teaching positive psychology, student motivation and responding to distressed college students.

Div. 38 (Health) seeks nominations for its annual awards: the Outstanding Contributions to Health Psychology Awards, the Timothy Jeffrey Memorial Award for Outstanding Contributions to Clinical Health Psychology and the Graduate Student Research or Travel awards. Join Div. 50 in Boston

Div. 50 (Addictions) seeks poster and symposium proposals for APA’s 2008 Annual Convention in Boston, Aug. 14–17. During the convention, the division offers networking opportunities for young researchers through workshops and a poster session/social hour.
