  FIFTY YEARS LATER
Report forthcoming from urban psychology task force
Print version: page 62

APA's Task Force on Urban Psychology will release a report early next year that will provide an overview of psychological research on urban populations and the urban environment as well as an action plan for psychology. Task force members have summarized key urban psychological research--in such areas as education, employment, health, city design, parenting, and violence and crime--to survey the varied contributions psychology has made, and in the task force's view, still needs to make.

Once the task force completes the report, it will present it to APA's Council of Representatives for approval. If approved, the report will guide APA's urban education policy and research directions.
