  THE CASE AGAINST SEGREGATION
SPSSI takes the Hill
Print version: page 61

On June 24, the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI) partnered with APA's Public Policy Office (PPO) for the "SPSSI on the Hill" advocacy day. Approximately, 60 SPSSI members participated in the event as part of their 5th Biennial Convention.

PPO staff and SPSSI leadership briefed the participants on two key psychological science issues currently before Congress: preservation of the scientific peer-review process and legislation to counter health disparities. SPSSI members then met with their members of Congress and congressional staff to share psychological research pertinent to these issues.
