Hope Program Volunteer Trainers Have Conducted 28 Training Events in 2008 So Far

The HIV Office for Psychology Education (HOPE) Program endeavors to enhance psychologists' ability to competently and compassionately respond to people infected and affected by HIV.

The Office on AIDS the HIV Office for Psychology Education (HOPE) Program volunteer trainers have conducted 28 training events so far this year, reaching more than 780 mental health professionals and students using a train-the-trainer model, the HOPE Program develops and pilot tests HIV/AIDS training materials and then recruits and trains HOPE Program Trainers to educate front-line HIV/AIDS providers in all regions of the country.
