White House kicks off 20th Anniversary celebration of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

PI-GRO worked over recent months to advance priorities related to individuals with disabilities and collaborate with federal and organizational partners around these critical issues
The White House launched its celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the ADA during the VSA International Festival at the Kennedy Center. Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to President Obama, gave remarks on the Administration’s initiatives around the area of disability, while praising the work of such champions as Ambassador Jean Kennedy Smith of VSA and her late brother Senator Edward Kennedy. The celebration will continue throughout the summer with different events held throughout the country. APA celebrates this momentous occasion. PI-GRO continues to work with congressional and organizational allies to advocate on behalf of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of their lives.
