• Senate moves forward with the Healthy Media for Youth Act; House version gains co-sponsors
  Senators Kay Hagan (D-NC) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ) have introduced the Senate version of the Healthy Media for Youth Act (S. 3852/H.R. 4925)
• APA comments on National HIV/AIDS Strategy
  On October 14, 2010, PI-GRO, the APA Office on AIDS, and the APA Committee on Psychology and AIDS submitted a letter and comments on the President’s National HIV/AIDS Strategy to the White House and Department of Health and Human Services
• APA participates in Eldercare Workforce Alliance Advocacy Day
  PI-GRO worked with the Eldercare Workforce Alliance (EWA) to coordinate federal advocacy trainings and Capitol Hill visits in Washington, DC, on September 21 and October 21, 2010
• APA supports National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day Resolution
  APA joined several national organizations in supporting the National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day Resolution sponsored by Representative Alcee Hastings (D-FL), co-chair of the Congressional Homelessness Caucus
