Family Caregivers Briefcase now online

Extensive resources on caregivers for psychologists

Psychologists provide critical services and help for family caregivers.

Online in January, the Family Caregivers Briefcase offers 160 pages of information and resources for and about caregivers, to help psychologists and other health professionals working with family caregivers of aging parents, seriously ill children, and other family members.

A product of the 2010 APA Presidential Task Force on Caregivers, the Briefcase provides extensive information and resources on how caregiving affects all of us, family caregiving, caregiving problems, reaching caregivers, the role of the psychologist, program development and advocacy, research, and education and teaching.

Over the coming months, we will highlight particular sections of interest in this comprehensive resource. We invite you to start today with Where do I begin to look for guidance in providing long distance care to my parent?
