Keynote speaker U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will address attendees at the upcoming conference Confronting Family and Community Violence: The Intersection of Law and Psychology. Holder will talk about the effects of violence on children, youth and families, including his Defending Childhood Initiative.
Sponsored by the American Psychological Association and the American Bar Association, this important continuing education conference will include more 35 sessions addressing family and community violence in the context of aging, the military, LGBT concerns, Native American and ethnic minority concerns, disability, education, juvenile justice, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence and violent offenders.
The conference is scheduled for May 1-3, 2014, at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park hotel in Washington, D.C.
