Educational attainment within the older population has increased significantly. In 1993, 34 percent of those aged 65 or older had graduated from high school, and 12 percent had a bachelor's or more advanced degree.

In 2030, 83 percent of older adults will have completed high school, and 24 percent will have at least a bachelor's degree.
