Lambda Legal has released a public service announcement (PSA) entitled “Out, Safe, and Respected” that informs LGBQ youth about their rights at school.
A clinical report entitled “Sexual
Orientation and Adolescents” was recently published in Pediatrics. The report expands on the American Academy of Pediatrics’ statement on LGB adolescents and orients health care providers to the unique needs of sexual minority youth.
The National Mental Health Association has published “Bullying in Schools: Harassment Puts Gay Youth at Risk,” a concise guide to mental health resources.
PFLAG, a support group network for Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, has made available the results of their 2004
Safe Schools Initiative National Survey.
