Guidelines for Psychotherapy with Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Clients
Review of APA's Guidelines for Psychotherapy with Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Clients. Features clinical vignettes, resources, and poses questions for additional clinical consideration. Successful completion of this course will enable a psychologist to:

  • understand and explain the nature of the social stigma associated with homosexual or bisexual orientations and its impact upon lesbian, gay, and bisexual clients and how they present in psychotherapy;
  • understand and explain the major issues relevant to lesbian, gay, and bisexual couples, families, youth, and older adults; and
  • implement these guidelines with more comfort and efficiency into clinical practice.
