The Transgender Day of Remembrance

Transgender Day of RemembranceThe Transgender Day of Remembrance is an annual observance on Nov. 20 that honors the memory of those whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. It is the last day of Transgender Awareness Week, which is a time for transgender people and their allies to take action by educating the public and advancing advocacy to bring attention to this community and the unique challenges it faces.

APA is acknowledging the observance this year with the online publication of the Russian (PDF 170KB) translation of the public education brochure, Answers to Your Questions About Transgender People, Gender Identity and Gender Expression.
