MFP Receives Suinn Minority Achievement Award

On Aug. 2, 2012, the APA Commission on Ethnic Minority Recruitment, Retention and Training in Psychology Task Force (CEMRRAT2) presented its 2012 Richard M. Suinn Minority Achievement Award to the Minority Fellowship Program (MFP). The presentation took place during the APA Annual Convention at the Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs (CEMA) Social Hour and Awards Ceremony.

The Suinn Award is presented each year to a program that has demonstrated excellence in the recruitment, retention and graduation of ethnic minority students. CEMRRAT2 Task Force and MFP Training Advisory Committee member Beth Boyd presented the 2012 award to current MFP director Andrew Austin-Dailey and former director James Jones. Many current and alumni MFP Fellows were present to witness this important event.
