OEMA Participates in Kentucky Psychological Association Foundation’s Diversity Conference
APA's Office of Ethnic Minority Affairs was honored to be a Gold Sponsor for the 2012 Kentucky Psychological Association Foundation’s Diversity Conference: Cultural Connections: Competence, Quality, and Equity in Mental Health Care, which included a keynote address by Dr. Melba Vasquez, APA Past President. The conference was designed to:
increase the cultural competence of health care providers, educators, and the general public;
to heighten cultural awareness; and
to advance the quality and integration of mental and physical health services to members of diverse and underserved populations. OEMA sponsored the session on Mental Health Disparities and Diverse Perspectives on the Path to Mental Health by Vicki Hines-Martin, PhD on April 27, 2012.
