Based on the 1995 APA/SPSSI/SPS-EMI Congressional Briefing on Affirmative Action, this booklet summarizes psychological and social science research on affirmative action and provides policy recommendations.

Can-Or Should-America Be Color-Blind? Psychological Research Reveals Fallacies in a Color-Blind Response to Racism. 1997, 8 pages. This booklet prepared by APA's Public Policy Office reports psychological research findings presented at a Congressional briefing and addresses such topics as color-blindness, how stereotypes shape self esteem and performance, and the powerful change agent of inter-group cooperation.

Hate Crimes Today: An Age-Old Foe in Modern Dress. This booklet is a joint project of the APA Public Policy Office and Public Communications Office, in conjunction with the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues. 1998, 16 pages.
