The Promoting Psychological Research and Training on Health Disparities Issues (ProDIGS) small grants project, coordinated by the Office of Ethnic Minority Affairs, is requesting interested early career faculty conducting health disparities research and training at predominately ethnic minority institutions apply for grant awards. The Commission on Ethnic Minority Recruitment, Retention and Training (CEMRRAT2) Task Force is requesting ethnic minority students to nominate their doctoral programs in scientific or professional psychology for the 2007 APA Suinn Minority Achievement Award. A preliminary March 2007 DRAFT Progress Report of the APA Commission on Ethnic Minority Recruitment, Retention and Training 2 (CEMRRAT2) Task Force is now available for Comment. Please send comments to OEMA by Tuesday, April 10, 2007.

Request for CEMRRAT’s Implementation Grant Proposal: The CEMRRAT2 have established funding priorities for FY2007 as follows: Training/Professional Development - Linguistic Minorities, Thematic: Preparing future psychology faculty for a diverse world, Faculty/Professional Development, Student Undergraduate/Graduate: Grants to Departments for Innovative Programs, Ethnic Minority Leadership Development. Applicants must be APA members at the time funds are awarded. If the proposals are determined to be consistent with the identified funding priorities and the CEMRRAT Plan, they will be funded on a first-come first-served basis.
