Teen Violence is preventable, so help spread the word and get helpful resources.

April 7 -11, is Teen Violence Prevention Awareness Week. Today, more than ever, teens and especially boys of color, are exposed to great challenges from bullying, to community violence, hate violence, drug abuse, unhealthy sexual behaviors, to dating violence and media violence. But science tells us that teens' involvement with violence is preventable. During this week, we want to raise awareness and educate the public and professionals on the effectiveness of prevention efforts. APA has long been involved in this field disseminating the best available psychological on how to prevent teen violence and providing resources through the Association’s multiple channels.
