Psychology-Community Engagement: Partnering for Social Change is designed to highlight the theory and practice of partnerships between psychologists and diverse and economically challenged communities. This grassroots initiative is spearheaded by Division 9, Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues, and cosponsored by 10 APA Divisions (8, 9,17, 27, 32, 34, 35, 39, 44, 45, and 48) and the Office of Socioeconomic Status of the Public Interest Directorate of the American Psychological Association. CSES Call for Nominations 2010

The Committee on Socioeconomic Status (CSES) is calling for nominations for membership on the Committee to serve three-year terms beginning in January 2010. CSES anticipates two vacancies in 2010. Nominations are accepted from individuals, APA Committees, Boards, and Divisions, as well as self-nominations. Deadline for Submissions is Friday, September 4, 2009. The Office on Socioeconomic Status is pleased to announce its entry into a five-year $1.75 million cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Cancer Prevention and Control (CDC/DCPC) to implement the Socioeconomic Status Related Cancer Disparities Program (SESRCD).
